UK surgical instruments, surgical equipment, medical diagnostic equipment and devices
Lyall Willis was formed in 1898 and became a UK Ltd Company in 1920 primarily dealing in
the export of UK manufactured goods. Lyall Willis & Co. Ltd. later moved its focus to becoming
suppliers and distributors of surgical instruments, surgical equipment, medical diagnostic equipment and devices
as well as Medical and scientific Instrumentation. Over the years Lyall Willis Surgical has built up
considerable experience in the healthcare market specifically relating to its extensive range of surgical
instruments including reusable, single use, disposable surgical instruments and medical diagnostic equipment.
To develop the UK market Lyall Willis offered a customer orientated service to medical trade companies
throughout the UK as well as the NHS Trusts.
Most of our sales and marketing is carried out through the instrument trade and distributors.
Lyall Willis Surgical has become well known for stocking over 2,000 different types of reusable surgical
instruments and single use instruments available for next day despatch throughout the UK. With a total
stock of over 400,000 instruments and surgical equipment products, Lyall Willis surgical is able to
respond quickly to customer demand and always strives to deliver more than 98% of orders on time and in full.
We hold a current BS EN ISO 9001:2012, ISO 13485:2003, MDD 92/43/EEC certification and mark all our
instruments with "CE" Mark, LYALL WILLIS and MDA Registration number "CA 001080". We also supply our own
branded Sphygmomanometers marked with our registration number CE 0473. All reusable surgical instruments
are made from the highest-grade quality stainless steel to meet the requirements of BS 5194 part 1-4. We also
supply bespoke single use disposable surgical instruments and single use disposable instrument packs
when required by our customers.
Furthermore Lyall Willis Surgical has expanded its operations into the supply of Single Use Sterile
Surgical Instruments and Procedure Packs including Drapes. We have set up our own Clean Room Facility
at our Factory in Bexhill-on-sea. Further additions to our scope include medical diagnostic equipment such as
Sphygmomanometers, Stethoscopes, Hammers, Tuning Forks, Laryngoscopes, and currently we have been
successful on both Re-Usable and Single Use Framework Agreements and are suppliers of surgical equipment to
numerous NHS Supply Chain Contracts.
We have recently expanded into physiotherapy equipment aids people in their homes and in their daily work
activities. Products include physio balls, light weights, exercise bands, hand grips, wobble boards, ankle
weights, tens machines and educational aids. In addition we have introduced to our range daily living aids
for daily routines, which can be difficult to manage. We offer products from shoehorns, reachers, jar openers,
walking sticks and frames, commodes and wheelchairs, shower seats and stools. Also we now have a range of
Endoscopy Consumables available consisting of re-usable and disposable items. We have within our range Biopsy
forceps, grasping forceps, scissors, brushes, baskets, snares, spray catheters and much more.
